HOW DO WE RAISE OUR ENGLISH MASTIFFS?

With love, love, and more love!  Our puppies are born in our bedroom or dining room and we stay with mom and babies constantly (they are never left alone for even a minute) for the first few weeks to make sure everyone stays safe, warm, fully fed, and healthy.

At age 3 weeks, the puppies start running around, and by age 6 weeks they completely rule most of the house - lol.  Potty training starts at age 4 weeks, and our pups are usually completely pad trained by 8 weeks.  Accidents are common, of course, so new owners will need to continue potty training until their pup gets the hang of it by about 10 to 12 weeks.

DO WE OFFER A HEALTH GUARANTEE?

YES.   Our puppies come with a one year genetic health guarantee (eyes, hips, and elbows.)  The parents have been determined to be free of PRA, Entropia, and congenital cardiac defects.  They were also given hip/elbow clearance by a board-certified veterinarian.

WHAT DO WE FEED OUR PUPPIES?

Mom’s milk is best, so our pups nurse from birth to age 7 weeks.  If mom can’t make enough milk to keep up with the appetite of 10 or 12 pups, we supplement several feedings per day with Esbilac puppy formula, using baby bottles to feed each pup by hand. (We let mom continue to nurse as much as possible, of course, but we’re always there to help out when needed.)

Our pups continue to nurse from mom until they are weaned at age 7 weeks. We introduce them to solid food at 3 weeks, feeding them a wet mixture of blended puppy food and Esbilac formula three times per day, and we gradually add soft food and puppy kibble to their diet over the following few weeks. 

By the time they are ready to go home at 8 weeks, they are fully weaned and eating a combination of Victor Select Super Premium Dog Food (very high quality dry kibble with NO corn, soy, wheat, or gluten) and canned Pedigree Puppy Chicken and Beef Meaty Ground Dinner. 

WHEN (AND HOW) DO I GET MY PUPPY?

Our pups are ready to go to their new homes at age 8 weeks, and you can pick your puppy up at our house near Canton, TX, or we will meet you within 50 miles of zip code 75103 at no cost. 

If you are coming from out-of-state, we are willing to drive up to 4 hours from Canton for $35 per hour.
Example: 4 hrs from Canton = 8 hr round trip (8 x $35 = $280)

Air shipping is available for $369 from DFW on American Airlines.  We use the Pet-Safe service, so puppies fly in a climate-controlled cabin with an attendant.
